ok, so the pioneer has 110wx5, thd .05% while a yamaha rx-v467 is > at .06% & 105wx5, the rx-v1065bl is also 105w but 7ch & .08% thd & the onkyo 707 is rated .08% & 100wx7. 5.1 surround is really all i need for my living...

Trying to decide between a pioneer vsx 820k for $300 or an onkyo 707 refurbed for $400. Is the 707 worth the extra cost being refurbed vs the pioneer new? Thx!
have watched the you tube vid & read the specs & compared to newer systems, like the onkyo hts3300 etc, my ? is if i buy this system for the speakers & use the receiver as is with a toslink cable connected to the sherwood...

i tried installing the patch, both for pro & just windvd, neither would install. have windvd10 pro installed, paid version. running windows 7 64bit home prem. only way i can view a movie is to click upscaling in video enhancement....
