Many speakers dip to 4 ohms or below, and many AVRs drive them just fine. Most amplifiers are limited in their ability to deliver enough current to sustain full power into lower-impedance loads but will work fine running les power, and...
Not sure it makes life any easier for the amp since it now sees two loads (drivers) instead of one, but if you use twice the drivers their individual excursions should be less. I am not sure how you would hook up the servo feedback...
Lets take the example of a very simple first-order crossover. In that case, a capacitor is in series with the signal to the HF driver, and an inductor is in series with the woofer. The capacitor's impedance is high at low frequencies and...

@SAM64: Isn't ARC on its own pair? Don't really know, not an HDMI guru or even all that knowledgeable, just curious. I thought the OP might mean ARC at first then realized it was (probably) the serial digital interface signals.
You mean the digital TMDS signal? For HDMI 1.3, termination is to 3.3 V and swing is 400 to 600 mV single-ended into 50 ohms (800 to 1200 mV into 100 ohms differential). The 1.4 spec is not available as a free download.

Yes.
There are lots of room mode calculators and essays on the 'net. I'll try a very loose hand-waving description to get you started. Do you know what a sine wave looks like? It varies from peak value to 0 to minimum values at different...
No problems except on some loud explosions or thunderclaps (my dog is afraid of thunder). My dog used to leave the room when I practiced my trumpet, but now she just lies there. I'd like to think I was getting better but she's probably...
