4 THT's? Keep your builder on hand, he's going to be busy repairing the room.
I am entering this for most misinformed post of the year.
I have dual empires and a THT. I run the THT for HT when I want the couch to move (literally). Get stupid with the gain control and you WILL break stuff, that's not an exaggeration.
"plus 300W is still plenty of bass for me (and im a basshead)" Sorry... sticking a feather up your butt does not make you a chicken. Enjoy your 300 watts but take it easy on the self-proclaimed titles.
That's brutal... do you even hear your left effects channels now?
I have had a set since 95 and love them. The panels WILL need to be replaced at some point if they have not in the past already. I would ask. There are also updated woofers available should you ever need them. If you do need panels, a set will run you $700. Ask how often the panels were vacuumed. Doing this regularly prolongs their life. How much can you get them for if you don't mind me asking? Is this your first set of electrostats?
Something is seriously wrong there and a signal booster is not going to fix it. SW Pre/out to the Crown right? Are you running the amp bridged or just using 1 channel? What driver in your THT? edit: DVC wired out of phase....???
