I have not heard the R series but very good advice. Small to medium room, no brainer LS50s. Bigger room R series.

First off, speakers that are amazing to you will not stop being so just because a new model is released. Very good speakers will sound very similar as they reproduce sound very well. Second, which I learned is that speakers, like music...
