I saw the LSi7s $400 on their ebay page but if Fry's is an option those are $199 @ Fry's http://www.frys.com/product/3586944?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG According to this review they seem to crave a bit more power http://hometheaterreview.com/polk-lsi7-bookshelf-loudspeakers-reviewed/ so perhaps even for near field the beefier TA2050 is preferred to a TA2020 amp? Heard mixed views on the QC of the DTA-100A (considering it's asking price) but the Topping TP22 is an...
To all :thanks a lot for the advice that's gold! Never stated a budget as i was mulling over bigger TV and projectors
Ok i have my trusty 32" panny LCD TV that is chugging along fine for 7 years now but i am thinking of moving it to my bedroom and getting a bigger LED TV say 47" or bigger but now i am curious about projectors too! My initial research still has not cleared some doubts but thankfully i am a forum member @ AVS Ok here are my questions 1. If one does not have a dedicated HT room that would be darkened : are projectors recommended for 24/7 use? By 24/7 i mean close to being...
Thanks i think it's a good idea as well
Definitely agree with a lot of what u said What i wish is for peeps who have owner/heard a range of stuff over various budgets and roughly agree upon which stuff merit a place in a certain price point for example but i see you point
Hi there why not have a sticky for suggested speakers for 2 channel/ surround for various budgets? Perhaps start with 2 channel/near field bookies @ say under $100 budget all the way to a full on HT setup in the "money no object" category Or we could have them by bookies/floor standers/subs? This sticky could be a collaborative effort from the gurus/old birds and i feel this could be really useful to existing and especially new/incoming forum members (or lurkers heh)
Ok i have Googled and the info i get is conflicting and i frankly my head is starting to hurt For the sake of simplicity these are what i have 1. A pair of powered 2.0 speakers with 2 sets of AUX inputs 2. A Creative SB Live! PCI soundcard old but still working What i intend to do : add a 8-10" active sub My 1st thought was simply to use a 3.5mm-to-RCA cable off the sub out/center channel port of my soundcard but the info i am getting is so confusing a. Do i *need* to...
This may sound crazy and i admit not knowing the intricacies of the corporate world w.r.t TV content providers : don't you think it is painfully unfair that people in one part of the world have access to awesome TV at a reasonable price whilst others elsewhere pay a lot for TV that sucks? My dream is TV "without borders/limits" where the end user can subscribe to tv provided by anyone/anywhere (legally) and not be at the mercy of local providers who charge you as much as...
+1 i am a lifelong sports addict so much so that if it weren't for live sports, i don't really need a TV
