I've used z-wave with the mi casa verde system and it seems to work well except for the pairing it's a bit of a hassle dragging the box around and getting them near devices. But once that's done it's not so bad

I've been playing with a z-wave type system trying to get a feel for it and the biggest problem is actually getting the things to pair! once I drag everything around the room and get things paired it seems to go okay.
