Further... Definitely not in the effects I plugged it into 1/4 jack on one of the channels it has a channel input by a 1/4 jack or xlr
Not sure of model or year all I know it's a samick non powered 12 chn mixer
Ok this problem is driving me crazy to figure out , can anyone help
I have a 12 chan stero none powered desk , this is connected to a stage snake , I have 1 amp for front house speakers and one for monitors , I usually connect a cd player or laptop strength into one of the channels by 1/4 inch jack the other end connects into the cd/ computer . Inbetween this cable I have a ground loop.
Ok so that's the background now the problem is when playing a music cd through...
Thanks for your reply, would you use Microsoft power point ? If so is it possible to keep the power point running continuously whilst doing other work on the computer or would I need to get a computer solely for. The notice board ?
Hey guys ,
I'm thinking about putting a tv in the reception area at our church to use a notice board, it hopefully will have 4 pictures on one saying welcome to , whats on and another two similar. These need somehow need to be continuously looped without manually doing it the problem is I have no idea how to do this or what hardware/ software I'll need . I'm not sure which room best to post this so here I am , any help/ advice would be great!
Ok the more I'm trying to set up the more I'm sinking and finding issues
The church is trying to play music from the laptop through the mixer now the laptop has the usual USB headphone and what looks like a mic socket
The desk gas stereo. Inputs 12 in all rec out which look like a white and red phone and also effects/loop etc
I tried taken a cable from the headphone to the rec out but it just buzzes
I'm lost and admittedly out of my depth but I'm the most knowledgable...
The mixer is non powered on the desk it has a left and right main out which consists of 2 xlrs and 2 1/4 jacks there is then 2 cables going from the xlrs out to an amp then there is a cable going to non powered speakers
I hope this helps my apologies if I confused matters or not understanding
You guys are cool for this help
Would it just be easier to hook up a video camera and connect to a tv? :0)
Thanks- yep it's going to be in a lot smaller room the problem I have is that there is only 1 monitor 1/4 jack output which is connected to a 300w amp then 4 monitors daisy chained off that
The monitors only have the musicians coming out of it but not the preacher at the request of band members
Thanks for your replies
The speaker is going to be used just for one mic which is for the preacher, so let me get this right the easiest way is to
Go from effects out to a amp then to a passive speaker
Go from effects out to a active speaker
Split one of the main speaker outputs with a y cable and go to a passive or active speaker
Thanks for your help on this one :0)
Thanks for you reply , the desk is a 12 channel stereo mixer made by samick
I have a 1600 amp connected to the xlr main out on the desk but what I need to do is also have 1 more main speaker coming out of the desk to another amp , this single speaker would then go into the other room. Hope this makes sense?
I wasn't sure if you could use both the xlr and jack outputs all at the same time driving speakers.
