If you are a drummer seeing this pic of the snare drum, it it the Gold Triumphal by Not So Modern Drummer. The only one in existance, master engraver (for DW, Ludwig, NSMD, Slingerland, private collectors) John Aldridge reproduced the shell design of the ultra-collectable and expensive "Deluxe" Ludwig (commonly referred to as the "Black Beauty") snare drum of the 1920's. A two piece shell, welded together on the center-bead, solid brass with enclosed flanges (the "secret" of the drum's unique sonic characteristics) just under the bearing edges. It has ten tube lugs, and single-flanged hoops and clips. I have 50 snare snare drums and not enough hi-fi, so it's up for sale. If you want John to build you one (there were only five shells procuced), he'll charge you $5K. This one, as I said the only one in existance, is available at a savings of $2K, 3,000 bucks. Don't ya'll email at once, now.
