“Another one of my budget home theater purchases was this Elite Screens 110" Sable Fixed Frame screen I bought on Amazon. I was first drawn to this screen due to the price, but most importantly, the availability of a 110" screen (Monoprice does not offer one, 106 was too small and 120 was way too big). Elite Screens offers some of the most affordable projection screens I found, which would...” --DDT0C
“I recently purchased a house with a basement theater that came with a Sony VPL-HS20. Considering it came with the house, I was more than happy to take it. Features: The VPL-HS20 is a 768p projector that takes a 720p input signal natively. As hard as I try, I can not get the thing to take a 1:1 pixel mapping from my PC attached via HDMI or DVI. There is always around 5% cut off from each side...” --varkeast
“I have had this projector for seven or eight years. Originally I bought this for auditorium presentations of video productions I have filmed. As a professional videographer that shoots primarily stage productions I present the final video in an auditorium filled with performers and instructors at least twice a year. Originally I was hauling a 32 inch CRT television to the auditorium and...” --craftech
“NOTE: This review is comparing the LG to other projectors released in 2010. Obviously there are better options available today if you are buying new. When this projector was released in 2010, it was one of the best budget options for owners with large screens or lit media rooms. It is a 3 chip LCoS capable of 900 lumens in 'best' mode and 1400 lumens in 'bright' mode after calibration (these...” --Greg_R
“This was my first projector. At that time I was considering getting a 50" plasma TV, but a friend who already owned a 720p projector "convinced me" (a simple demonstration at his place was enough) to forget about 50" screens when it comes to home cinema! I must admit, this is one of my very few purchases based solely on reviews, as I was not able to find this model anywhere on display. All the...” --giorginho
“I've had this unit for proably 8 years and am on my 2nd lamp -> the first actually just lost brightness after about 6,000 hours. Everything I've wanted in a projector.” --septemous
“I bought this projector 4 years ago. I am crazy when it comes to projector purchases, I used business projectors for movies at home since 1998 and eventually bought an LG projector which I loved, but the insides essentially melted when I installed its second bulb from the heat. The Sharp replaced that one, and the biggest things that drew me to Sharp was that they use lenses for keystone...” --rdcollns
“Features: Built in Digital Tuner which is great for watching regular TV without the need of an additional set top box 20000 hour led bulb that will probably outlast the projector. DNLA capable Quick boot enables the projector to boot up in around 10 seconds USB port for native file play back such as mp3, DivX, mp4 and photo playback Smart TV(NetCast) features(facebook,twitter,Vudu,...” --digitalDee
“Edit: Just realized I posted this review under the 100" screen vs. the 110" screen I actually have. Regardless, all of my feedback should apply to both, so I feel confident in leaving this here for others to read that might be looking at the 100" variant. “I haven't put this project through a full calibration, so can't comment on videophile aspects... I replaced a Sharp XVZ-10000U (which has been eating bulbs like candy for the last few years) with this projector. The first thing you notice is the Benq is very significantly brighter - lights on low don't wash it out much and ambient light spill from other rooms during the day is not a...” --useopenid
