Pros: Work great very good recording from the Electronic Program Guides

Cons: need better sub menus

This DVR work good over all. It like any new product on the market they work on user friendlily. Not the same as TiVo Dish-network or U-Verse as the menu's. It does have a good Electronic Program Guides (EPG) for both tuners you can record from this does not need time date to set up for recording but you can record months away if need too.
Time-shift from 5 min up to 4 hrs I use 1 hr.
IT is about as close as I can find to how TiVo, Dish-network, U-Verse or Comcast has for a Electronic Program Guides and not need a monthly fee as in TiVo at $15.00 and record two shows at one time.
The saving each month over Dish-network, U-Verse or Comcast is about $70.00 and it only takes less than 3 months to pay for PHD-VRX then it is free like the good old days of VCR's .smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif.

Even today they are working on new menus for the PHD VRX

The update in Mar 2013 has improved the menus. Epvision will be releas a update to the a option to the EPG ( TV guide ) used for recording like Tivo with cost from third party at $25.00 per YEAR /. $2.08 per month. Good new you can still use the old EPG guide at not cost
