Klipsch RF-7II

Pros: Excellent HT Sound, Excellent Build Quality

Cons: None

I purchased the Klipsch RF-7II, B-Grade from www.acousticsounddesign.com.  The shipping by freight was fast and the speakers were secured on a pallet.  Mike Embers was very helpful and I got a great deal.  The condition of the speakers as far as I can tell, looked brand new, there was no blemish that I could find anywhere.  The performance of the Kilpsch RF-7's watching movies was nothing short of theater quality, I was completely blown away.  Listening to CD's was a very pleasant experience.  I was a bit anxious of these speakers because I had read reviews of their harsh high end but to my ears the sound was dynamic and detailed with tight powerful bass. ...

BROADCAST STORM

RF7

Posted

Pros: efficient and detailed

Cons: unrefined bass

Even on Mcintosh tube pre amp and ss amp these are bright and harsh operators. Extremely efficient. They will play super loud and fill a huge area with sound even on minimal power. Beyond that, the bass is not articulate and lacks extension. The horn tweeter is super detailed but bright. It will wear you thin quickly. A great screaming party speaker. A poor audiophile speaker.

The amazing RF-7II's (and RC64 II center)

Posted

Pros: Tight bass, crisp highs, amazing depth. Look bad ass in black

Cons: F***in heavy. Binding posts that bridge the two sets of 4 connectors in back are a bit clumsy for me. Just make sure to dble check connection

Purchased a pair of A-stock black Klipsch RF7 II's and a black RC64 II, and a Marantz SR7007 from Acoustic sound designs. After researching and listening to other various models of speakers (at Frys, best buy, Magnolia's) I was completely blown away with the performance of the reference series from Klipsch. My favorite demonstration was at Frys in San Diego where I had the sound room to myself and an employee. I normally dont listen to techno/house, but he put in some deadmou5....wow. Cranked it up. I almst went with the RF82's, they are very impressive, super crisp and clean, but choose to go with RF7s because the mids of the beat just hit my chest harder. Gave me goose bumps. ...

Awesome For Music & Home Theater

Pros: Crystal Clear Highs & Powerfull Bass

Cons: Heavy

I purchased a pair of RF-7 II speakers in black online from http://www.acousticsounddesign.com and could not be happier with the build quality and how the RF7 II sound. Shipping was fast and they came strapped on a pallet to avoid damage. I was comfortable buying them because this is my second purchase from them. I bought the Klipsch RC-64 II center from http://www.acousticsounddesign.com approx 9 months ago with the same great buying experience. I would definitely recommend these speakers to a friend and confidently say that you can buy great speakers online without listening to them first. My system consists of: Klipsh RC-64II Center Klipsch RS-35 Surrounds Rythmik Audio FV15HP...

Excellent floor stander-no more upgrades for me

Pros: Sounds excellent for HT/Music

Cons: Heavy

I started out in this hobby about 25 yrs. ago with a Zenith HTIB. Gave that away and purchased JBL bookshelfs and a Bose center and Bose surrounds (not cubes). Sold that and then purchased towers and surrounds from Aperion. Started with 633s and surrounds. Upgraded within a year to the newer Aperion 6Ts. They didn't sound bad. I had 3 6Ts across the front. I was just missing movie dialogue every once in awhile. I found "B" stock Klipsch from a Authorized online Klipsch dealer and purchased 3 RF7IIs. I couldn't be happier. Have not missed any dialogue and excellent for HT and Music. Coming from using and listening to silk dome tweeters I was concerned about the horn tweeters from Klipsch....

Perfect home theater and music speakers

Pros: Fill the room with sound, great frequency response, clear, clean sound

Cons: Speakers are large, wish they cost less

I purchased a pair of RF-7 II speakers in cherry, not black. My complete setup includes a RC-62 II center channel, a pair of RS-52 II side speakers, a pair of CDT-5800-C rear ceiling speakers, a Hsu Research HVFT-3 subwoofer, Onkyo TX-NR818 receiver, Panamax M300-PM line conditioner, and KnuKonceptz CL3 12 gauge wire. I spent over a month listening to speakers at the local retailers, speaking with friends and acquaintances, and reading online reviews and blogs. I purchased B&W speakers from a local retailer and returned them before buying the RF 7 IIs. I bought everything online. The RF-7 II's sound wonderful. They fill the room with sound. A friend cautioned me that the horns would be...
