Features: This is a standard 1080p, 2D, 240Hz, LCD HDTV ($550). It is NOT internet capable. It has 3 HDMI inputs, 2 component video inputs, 1 standard RCA input, 1 VGA input, one mini audio input, 1 USB input (for photos and the like), and one satellite/cable/antenna input. It only has one audio output and that is an optical audio out, so don't plan on connecting it to your receiver via standard RCA cables. One nice feature is LG's Simplink creation which allows the TV to partially control (and be controlled) by connected LG devices. For example, if you have an LG blu-ray player connected to this TV and the television is powered off, when you turn the blu-ray on it will turn on the TV and switch it to the blu-ray's input thereby decreasing the amount of button pushing required by the user. It is actually pretty convenient and seems to work pretty consistently.

Setup: The setup was easy and intuitive. The wizard walks you through all of the standard steps and allows you to personalize the settings to your liking. No issues with that. Also, all of the cable inputs seem to be well located and I had no issues with connectivity (not that I expected any).

UI: The menu seems very well designed. The settings are not hopelessly buried under a myriad of unnecessary sub-menus, and they all seem to be in the most obvious places.

Performance: The picture, to my nonprofessional eyes, seems to be quite good. The images are crisp and the colors seem accurate. My only complaint is that the blacks could be slightly darker, but that, I think, is a limitation more of the LCD genre than it is of this specific television. If I really cared that much about it I would have gone plasma.

In summary, I recommend this TV to anyone who is looking for a decent 42" TV on a moderate budget.
