Pros: A very good picture, good colors, very easy setup, and a pretty good remote. Fits into smaller space than some plasmas.

Cons: Sound is pretty tinny. There is no bass to speak of, even when adjusted to emphasize bass. Heavy compared to an LCD. No wifi.

We bought this to replace our previous 50" DSL when we discovered we had room for a 60" TV in the space we had. This particular model was compact enough to fit our space (some we looked at weren't). We checked online and discovered Best Buy was selling it online for $899 on special so we went down to our local BB and they matched the price. We were up and running within an hour. The setup was quite easy. Our DSL had been hooked up to the cable box via component (it only had one HDMI connection which we used for the BluRay) but this has three so we're pure HDMI now. It needed very little adjustment, looking good right out of the box, but of course I did some adjusting. It was quite easy and intuitive. The tv has an optical output so we connected it to our out-of-date receiver so that we would have high end sound when we weren't using our cable box (which is also connected to the receiver via digital). Thus we were able to bypass the internal sound, which to be blunt, is pretty bad, not sounding much better than your typical bedroom 20 incher. Since it has no built in WiFi, we purchased a dongle for it, which added another $80 or so to the price. The tv automatically recognized it, and we were quickly connected to the internet. We've only used that to update the firmware. It has access to various streaming services, e.g., Netflix (we've never used those so I have no opinion on that), but only with the added wifi dongle (and of course the subscription fees if any). The remote is quite easy to use, but is not universal, so if you want to use a single remote for all your devices, you'll need to have one of those. We just use the DVR control for everything, so the only use for the tv remote that we have is to changed input modes, and to fiddle with the adjustments.

All in all, we're very satisfied with this purchase (as are our daughter and her husband, to whom we gave the tv we replaced with this one).
