Pros: Good picture, plenty of inputs, and easy to navigate menus with plenty of tweaks
Cons: Noticeable blooming in corners; slow & cluttered "Smart TV" interface
Setup: Easy to set up with the basic built-in presets (no setup wizard provided). Adjusting the picture through the menus takes some doing.
User Interface: The remote is fine—reasonably laid out with large-ish buttons—but nothing special. The menu system is generally easy to navigate, although some of the fine-tuning requires burrowing through a bunch of menus.
Performance: The picture is bright and sharp. The colors, black level, and detail are good out-of-the-box. Although the screen is glossy, reflections are not a big issue. There are numerous tweaking options available, although these don't seem to do as much as I'd like. Shadow detail is decent from a computer input or optical media sources; the streaming picture quality is very limited by the original source (e.g., poor black levels... but that's the service rather than the TV). The main issue with the TV is the very noticeable blooming from the corners and along some of the edges. In a bright room with a picture that takes up the entire screen, you don't notice it much. However, if there is any letterboxing or you're watching in a darkened room, its very distracting.
