Great Receiver
Pros: Functional GUI, YPAO, Zones
Cons: No Airplay
I upgraded from the RX-V990 to this AVR. Multizone functionality is very nice. I like being able to use the iPhone app to control the other zones. The lack of AirPlay was not a huge deal. I have an Apple TV to make up for that. The next iteration, the RX-A2020 doesn't have Pandora, Sirius IR, etc etc. So I'm glad I didn't wait for it.
YPAO is very useful. I switch between YPAO Flat equalization and manual. This unit has plenty of power. The On Screen menu is easy enough to use. I do not like that you can only use analog sources for Zones 2 and 3. Meaning to get audio from the Apple TV to Zone 2, I have to use Party Mode.
The unit does generate a lot of heat. I would recommend using a blower fan like this to keep it cool:
