]FWIW, I've got a DG1000. It has one less HDMI input (2, version 1.2a) than the 1100, but it has 7.1 preouts and s-video I/O both of which I wanted. It transcodes all analog video to HDMI and plays TrueHD and DTS-MA provided you've got a player that does the decoding
. When I bought it in early 2007 ($540 shipped), the STR-DGx10 series (also HDMI 1.2a) had just appeared IIRC. Compared to my unbadged ES, even the DG910 didn't compare IMO. Since buying it, I've had zero problems. I'm a happy camper - except, of course, when that devil upgrade-itis strikes. Then I have to go some place quiet and lie down until the urges subside. Can I get a witness?? LOL [/OT]
