I spent the weekend playing with my setup. I received my DVI - HDMI cable Friday and connected it Saturday morning. At this time I am using a SD DVD player. I am running component from the DVD player (480i) to my iScan HD+ and then from the iScan to the HC1500 1:1 mapped at 720P/60 over the DVI - HDMI cable. It looks very good. I tried to send the HC1500 a frame rate of 48 but that killed my 1:1 mapping. It looks like the 1500 will convert 48 to 60 frames. I also tried 72 frames but that lost all sync.
Used the iScan's test patters to adjust the PJ's brightness, contrast and color and then used AVIA to adjust the iScan to the DVD player's output. I still have a bit of fine tuning of the Prismasonic H-1000 lens, but it looks like the lens is plenty big enough for the light beam. Oh, I had to use the aspect ratio of 16 X 9 in the PJ. I tried REAL, but it wouldn't do a 1:1 map. I did get a full 2.35 screen but like I said NO 1:1 mapping.
