The other option would be to use Just mode to stretch the picture to fit the TV. Some people find the distortion irritating. Others don't mind. It would probably be a good idea to do this at least for the first 100 hours or so of viewing.

I briefly saw a PX80U today and my quick impression is that it's just about as reflective as my PZ700U and the other TVs on the wall (maybe a little less so), so it appears that the new Anti-Reflective Filter is slightly less reflective than the 2007 models, and nowhere near as non-reflective as the Anti-Glare filter used on the PZ77U. I could see the whole bank of storefront windows reflected in the screen, pretty much like all the other plasmas on the wall (with the exception of the PZ77U). That's fine with me since i do not like the AG screen on the PZ77U.

"Do not display a picture in 4:3 mode for an extended period, as this can cause "Image retention" to remain on either or both sides of the display field. To reduce the risk of such Image retention, change the brightness of the side bars. See pages 24-25 for more information. The side bar may flash (alternate black/white) depending on the picture. Using Cinema mode will reduce such flashing (See below).

Scrolling Bar ---- To prevent Image retention, scrolls white vertical bar from left to right on a black screen. Press any key except the POWER key to return to previous screen. You will return to previous screen if any key operation has not been performed for 15 minutes. See pages 24-25 for more information."

I absolutely love this TV. It has really good blacks. I saw it at BB next to the Pioneer Kuro. I have to admit the Pioneer had better blacks, and overall a better picture, but my personal opinion not by much(at least not $500-600 better).

The black piano finish is amazing. I like how it has a very slim bezel around the screen, gives it a sharp look. The internal speakers are amazing as well.

I'm still messing with the picture settings. I will take some pictures tonight and post them.

I think this is an incredible value for what you're getting, panasonic plasma, 3 hdmi inputs, sd card reader, great speakers.

We have it setup in the living room, mainly watch TV on it. sit about 10 ft away from the display. Love it

I know this isn't going to help you guys much, but I will keep you updated.
