I bought a $500 Home Theater Brother's lens (HTB). Then, I snatched up a Prismasonic FE1500R B-lens for $995. (Yup, that was the deal of the century since it's was only a ridiculously small cosmetic issue that doesn't affect the image. )
In my case the $500 HTB lens with anti-reflective coating made my wife go "ooo... ahh...". The Prismasonic made my wife go "ooo... ahh... cool!".
So, for an extra $500, you get "cool" thrown in. If you can only afford the HTB, it's not bad and saves you the time and expense of making it yourself. (It's a nice, professional unit, by the way.)
(I still have my HTB lens for sale by the way.
I've posted screen shots of both in their respective "official" threads.
