You will love your set it is a good TV. The only thing that I have reservation is the shiny highly reflective protective screen over the panel. I can see myself while watching.

Is starting the tv up cold not a good idea or something?
I would definitely do that, but that would mean letting the delivery guys leave without me knowing if there are any defects. If i do find defects later on, i'll be kicking myself for not just testing it while they were still here.
I do live in Southern California though, so it shouldn't be freezing or anything upon delivery.
