Help deciding what to buy TH-50PX80U or TH-42PZ85U

I sit 8 to 9 feet away and have insight cable with hd and will eventually get a blueray player. I can get either one of these tvs for about the same price. The difference is $20. The delema is one is 42" 1080p with a little better contrast and the other 50" 720p. I have seen the TH-42Px80U at best buy and the blacks are in my opinion right in lne with the kuro when i compared them. I can only assume the TH-42PZ85U will be better. I would assume the
TH-50PX80U would be as good as the one i seen at best buy. I can get either one from Panasonic direct through my work. What do all you experts think?

I think this is pretty easy. Go big. People like to talk about how they can perceive the difference between 1080p and 720p. If anything, it's a small difference. Compare that to the difference in screen size between a 42 and a 50. It's like night and day.

I agree...I would go with the 50PX80U when it is released.

I'd go with the PX50 unless you want/need the PC Input that the PZ85 has.

If the PZ85 is close to the PX50 in price maybe the 46" PZ80 might be around the same price too if you want 1080P but I'd still go for the PX 50"
