help with home theatre setup in 11X10 room with good audio potential

just picked up a samsung HLS5088W and a marantz 8001.. looking for a decent set of speakers that will work in a loft/condo room measuring approx 11X10...

home theatre is important and would like great audio potential as well...

anyone have suggestions? see that FS has a sale on polk HTIB (RM10) and loudspeakers (RTiA5)...either worth considering given my television/receiver? i'll also need to add a component for cd/dvd/bluray.

looking for the best value/quality... likely under 1500 bucks for a 5.1 setup.

ideally, the speakers would be sleek to conserve floor space.

in about a year the space will be much bigger (about 25X26) but with a kitchen in the space as well (non-designated room).

since it'll be in a loft, i won't be able to blow the neighbours ears out...
