Sony Shows 21 New Bravia LCD HDTVs

Sony, though, assembled quite a supporting cast for its 2008 Open House event for press and dealers in Las Vegas. The 21 soon-to-be-launched Bravia LCD TVs, for instance, garnered a lot of attention.

Divided into eight series, Chris Fawcett, vice president of marketing for Sony Electronics' Home Product Division, said Sony wants to reinforce Bravia's reputation as an innovator in the industry.
He emphasized the new models' thin bezel and varied options for dealers and consumers.
Keeping with the thin theme, Sony also displayed its OLED (organic light emitting diode) XEL-1 TV, which is already available for about $2,500. The 11-inch screen is 3 mm deep, says Sony, of North America's first organic LED television.
L Series
The L series, which Sony says will be available this spring, includes 32- and 37-inch models. The 720p LCD TVs are up to 1080p input capable via two HDMI inputs, two component inputs and a PC input.
