I measured with my volt meter that I got 50v up to pin 12 of the MC module and out of the module just when plugging it in. Where my voltages stop is right out of the transformers. Neither seem to have any voltage output but I must be missing something because both transformers aren't turning on. Do you have any idea of what I'm doing wrong?
Good job on doing the 9v battery test successfully! You should have done it again with the cap out and verified a ~1v drop. With 2.2v, a 4.7k is probably not enough. Try a 1k, but if it works, don't leave it that way, change out the cap.
You can't/shouldn't have 50v at pin 12. 16v is about the max. There must be a measuring error somewhere. Testing these supplies live is pretty risky. Since you were successful, please go back and try the battery test again without the cap, or try the 1k and see what happens.
BTW, the caps I removed measured okay, too. I didn't try reusing them. Replacing them worked .....
