Which Album (CD or Vinyl) Are you listening to now - Page 86

What you got back home, lil' sister, to play yer fuzzy warbles on? Pitiful, portable picnic players? Come with uncle & hear all proper! Hear angels trumpets & devils trombones.
You are invited!

Excellent quote from A Clockwork Orange! I have always liked the Anthony Burgess quote..

Life is a wretched gray Saturday, but it has to be lived through.

I am listening to vinyl... Captain Beefheart and his magic band...Trout Mask Replica.

For anyone not familiar with Beefheart, he was in a high school band with Frank Zappa and Zappa is said to have called him weird.

I just picked up all 3 Neu rereleases on CD this Monday in town. Listening to Neu 75 now.

If post '60's rock is cheeze, Neu is indeed the "mother culture"!

You must know how to read the join date

I can not understand why this guy gets so much support and praise for his inability to play the guitar well. His voice was horrible and unlistenable, and his playing was sloppy at best. No other artist in the history of Rock & Roll has gotten so much credit for NO TALENT then Hendrix.

OK...must be careful not to bite too hard on this hook, but...I never miss an opportunity to talk guitarist, so...

with that in mind, care to share who you do like?

Can't wait to hear. Just hope for his sake that it's someone who hasn't been influenced by Hendrix in any way whatsoever.

If they're Rock guitarists, that would leave a pretty small pool of individuals to choose from.

OK, since our Jimi-hater doesn't seem to want to play, I'll mention a few of my favorite players. Keeping in mind it would be gauche to talk about the obvious choices...some of my favs that don't always come up in these conversations...off the top of my head...Prince (if you dare laugh, I'll send you bootleg live stuff and you'll never doubt again), Steve Howe, Adrian Belew.
