Nice choice eljr. I have amazing memories of that disc, although a lot of them are somewhat addled.

Good signature, too. I own a Prisma from J A Michell Engineering which is sort of an authorized knock-off of the TT that good ol' Alex used.

Awesome.

I wonder whatever became of little Alex?

I don't hear anything about him anymore.

Probably, like myself, a decent upstanding citizen in the throes of retirement. What have we been reduced to?

Just got back from seeing 18 Grammy winner Jimmy Sturr Orchestra.
Chris Caffery from Trans-Siberian Orchestra sat in on a few songs.

I'm a big fan of Jerry Douglas and his performance here is amazing as always. The mix of the dobro and the Indian slide guitar is a strangely addicting sound. Most of the music is very relaxing without being slow or boring. Neither musicians style overpowers the other and the two guitarists really find a great harmony. It's clear that these guys are masters of their respective instruments.

"What is In Between" by David Lowe Dreamcatcher

I like everything by this guy, try also "I find you very attractive" by Touch and Go (its actually the same guy, David Lowe, composing and arranging)

Grabbed one of these on CD - used. The SACD is unobtanium at present. There is quite a bunch of similar titles, Bela Fleck and others have done similar things and they all have excellent quality. Most were on SACD at some point.

Anyhow, a very tasty presentation that again shows how good plain old CDs can sound when done right.
