I love Universal Mind from this album - it has great punchy bass. Tony Levin's bass coupled with Mike Portnoy's drums offers a perfect balance of low and mid bass, a fantastic song to test with.

Love this first album. I actually have the double album release that came with Come on Pilgrim.

Grateful Dead - Live Dead LP

Picked up this original pressing with W7 labels (and all four sides with 1A stampers!) a few weeks ago for a pittance. Amazing that you can still find a clean playing 45 year old "true" first pressing for under $5. This is the kind of find that makes me wake up early every weekend to search out garage sales.

I'm sure you saw this one coming like a Mariano Rivera cutter but, traditional or not.....

As much fun as that record might be, it leaves a colossal, big a**, wide open, giiiinormous, gaping hole in Center Field
.

As good as that song may be, it is not a song about baseball. That, and the fact it was recorded after the early 1985 "Hits" recording, made it more suitable to the mid-90s "Play Ball" CD.

Turn me on dead man

Revisited some old friends - selections from Dr. Ebbetts needle drops - the Beatles' 'Rubber Soul', 'Revolver', 'SPLHCB' and 'Abbey Road' in its entirety (of course.)

This is one of my all time favorite "shoegazer" records. I really like "Going Blank Again" as well.
