I don't know.........is there something I should know about here????

From the Pro-ject Audio Systems turntable FAQ:

"Removing the dust cover generally improves replay quality, as the large lid surface captures airborne resonance's and transmits them to the chassis or plinth. This applies equally if the cover is not removed completely but left open during replay."

So, I guess it's a matter of degree of degradation.

Try the "domino" method. The next album you listen to must have at least on cut that also appears on the last album you listen to. Quite difficult. My best try yielded a string of 26 albums (then I had to listen to a just purchased CD with all original compositions.) Oh well...

This one is a perennial favorite, and I never tire of it. It's always in rotation.

Hey Rodriguez,

Nice choice (Blues Etilicos). As a resident of Brazil (Rio, a cidade maravilhosa) I have always been impressed by Brazilians' very sophisticated (and varied) musical tastes. Not only do they have a good ear for appreciation of all styles of fine music, but the artists are also top-notch. Not to mention the very high standards to which their music is recorded and produced. Great stuff.

Try it sometime. It's more difficult than it appears. I have a huge jazz collection with a lot of covers and standards, and a string of 26 had me pulling out my hair. I've yet to try it with my Brazilian collection.

Mr. Wonderful is one of the discs in "The Complete Blue Horizon" box set. I love the Original Mac.
I'm not a huge fan of post PG Mac.

Did you ever try one of Esther Satterfield's LPs? Early/mid 70s.
