Which Album (CD or Vinyl) Are you listening to now - Page 192

You know...for the longest time, I could never really warm-up to a post Yankee Hotel Foxtrot release. That album was so brilliant, and ground-breaking IMO. And if you watched the excellent documentary about the making of that album...I Am Trying To Break Your Heart...it really seemed tragic to me, what happened to Jay Bennett. A good guy, with a lot of talent...who really shaped the sound of YHF; but couldn't get along, and understand his place in the band (and then, of course, his subsequent passing...just all seems so sad).

On first blush...A Ghost Is Born, and then Sky Blue Sky, really seemed like the kind of safe, accessible, horse-sh*t that Jeff Tweedy wanted to do all along; the very thing, he and Bennett fought over...and that's all I could hear. But with time, I've come to really appreciate both releases...especially Sky Blue Sky...as a really fine work.

Haven't put this one on in a little bit. What was only last year a small Denver band that I would see at small venues for free, I just saw at Red Rocks for $45/ticket. Great roots revival band.

Flight of the Conchords-Flight of the Conchords

Absolutely hilarious. Being a David Bowie fan I especially like the track Bowie. It's brilliant. The song covers most of the major Bowie transitions in style throughout his career.
