I think that's over now. In fact, I think it's come full circle; like it's hip to be square...lol

I'm listening to Laura Marling's Once I Was An Eagle; and I've been digging The Haxan Cloak's Excavation...even though I can't usually get into this kind of Electronica noise.

What really blew me away was seeing T Levin on conventional bass and stick - he looked like a demented Fu Man Chu w/ chopsticks on his fingers; good show.

lol. That really bad Huey Lewis & The News song (Hip to be Square) entered my head for some reason. Actually everything they did was terrible IMO.

I'll need to scour that one out of my head. Some metal should do the trick.

Wait; you saw that line-up of KC? Now I'm jealous. Don't forget the virtuosic Bill Bruford on the skins!

May not be everyone's style; but that was one helluva band.

Do you know if this is our little cemetary town Colma here in the SF area? I just heard of Buckethead recently discussing the possibilities of seeing him in Napa vs going to LA later this year to hear Dweezil....interesting dude what with the KFC bucket helmet and mask and all....

With song titles like Sanctum, Ghost, Hills of Eternity, Machete (?!) I'd say it's a pretty good possibility. Not to mention the music sounds kind of spooky.

For those who don't know, Colma is just south of SF and has 1400 residents living above ground. 1.5 million below...

Why, yes.

For one of those old enough to have experienced what was some of the first visuals to a tune on TV, the song and accompanying video totally blew me away when the two premiered on 'The Smother's Brothers.'

Wow.........thanks for the remembrance.
