I have a question for all vinyl enthusiasts, since I'm fairly new to the hobby.

Is there anywhere on the Internet I can go to find a list or ranking pertaining to the sound quality of vinyl records (new and past releases)?

I know it would be a massive (and unending project), but one thing I always liked about visiting the Blu Ray forum on AVS was that they had a tier system pertaining to picture quality of discs. Tier 0 would be the best picture quality you can find on Blu Ray, Tier 1 would be second best, etc. And people would come and add the movies to the appropriate column (although admittedly, I don't know who was "calling the shots," but I always did find those lists to be helpful.

I don't know how exactly that would be done with music--I guess because there are different pressings, people have different speaker setups, etc. But I figured I'd ask.

Thanks.

This site http://www.dr.loudness-war.info/ has submitted data showing the DR of releases - a fair portion of vinyl. The best vinyl most always will be first pressings of LPs from their country of origin or secondarily, any other pressed from the master tapes.
