Any help is greatly appreciated.
it's depending on your tv displaying capacity
hdmi > up to 1080p > true hd sound
components > up to 1080i > only video (use optical or coaxial for sound)
I have a dvd/r upconverter 1080p, ps3, hd dvd trough hdmi and a pc hdmi to dvi so I just plug my hdpvr explorer 8300 through components/optical since hdtv is only 1080i and I had no hdmi plugs left. save your hdmi for blu-ray player, hd-dvd (audio-video), computer, dvd-r/dvd with 1080p output (video)
