Mounting Polk R150's ??

I've just about decided on my home theater setup after some great advice in the HTIB section.

Receiver Onkyo 605
DVD Phillips 5982/37
Sub Bic H-100
Center Polk CSR
Surrounds Polk R150

But after some more research I find that the Polk R150's don't seem to be good for wall mounting. I will need to be able to wall mount all my surrounds. I lave a large entertainment center with no room for floor standing speakers on either side. So I will be mounting 4 (5.1) surrounds. If the Polks are not workable could someone please recommend a similar set of surrounds and a center. I was hoping to stay at around $250.
Thanks

So for the time being with a budget of $400.00 (4) surrounds and (1) center am I just better off getting the Onkyo 908 HTIB? Can any one point me in the direction of a good set of wall mountable speakers?
Thanks .

Onkyo is a good choice.

I have heard really good things about the Dayton 1200 series sat speakers and the black are back in stock at www.partsexpress.com now. In fact for around $250 shipped you can get those bundled with the Dayton 12" sub and have a really killer system. You would just need to add 2 extra sats for $40 or so.

You could also try to find the Polk RM10's for around $250 on Ebay and then add 2 extra sats (these might be hard to find cause if I am not mistaken they are discontinued) and a 10" or 12" Dayton sub for either $131 or $155 respectively plus shipping.

I am no expert by any means but have done lots of research of the last few month in the the process of building my new surround system and those frequently were mentioned as the best speakers for this price point. Hope this helps you out a little.

BTW I bought the Onkyo 605 and it is truely awesome but remember it will not matrix 5.1 source to those 2 extra channels.

Personally I'd avoid HTIB options at all cost but that's just me.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but why wouldn't the Polks be suitable for wall mounting? If the rear port is the problem, you may consider going with the Polk R15's which are very similar, except with a front-firing port and the woofer and tweeter aren't inverted.

The type of bracket needed for the R150 would cost about $50 (the type that holds the speaker from the bottom, rather than from behind), which according to other posts of his is out of his budget.

R15s are a good choice, though, if they can be found, although from what I've seen on eBay they'd be about R150+bracket prices.

Wow, really?

I bought two pairs of R15's on ebay last year for like 70 bucks. I can't imagine getting much cheaper than that......I guess there aren't as many around anymore.

There might be some cheaper, but I didn't see any when I searched. Granted, I only looked for a minute or two, but I only found one that had ended recently, and it was over $100. R15s have been out of production for some time now.

I will try to find someway to mount the Polks. All advice seems to point to them being the best choice in budget Home Theater speakers and centers. Thanks for all the help and any other suggestions are always appreciated. Thanks

I just got a look at the Athena speakers that were recommended. I can get either (3) WS60's for center and fronts with (2) WS15's for rears ($379.) or (1) WS60 for center and (4) WS15's for fronts and rears ($279.). If I go with the first choice is it wise upgrade or should I just put the savings into something else? The Athena would be a lot easier to mount
Thanks SteveD61

How did you end up mounting them? I am in the same boat and don't want to spend a lot on mounts.

Sorry I could never find anything I liked. I ended up buying a set of Polk FXi30 on Ebay.
