By all accounts it does have improved graphics from the demo. But I'll go out on a limb and say that if people are considering not buying the game because of the demo graphics they probably wouldn't be satisfied with the actual game graphics either. It's not like a revolutionary improvement.

Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi believes GT5's visuals will see refinements made over Prologue.

Quote:

Speaking to VideoGamer.com yesterday, industry legend and Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi commented on the visuals we can expect to see in Gran Turismo 5.

When asked if we're going to see any improvements over the already stunning visuals seen in Gran Turismo 5: Prologue he said: "In terms of quality we've been able to establish a benchmark in this version, but I think with GT5 there will be additional refinements, perhaps to the lighting and maybe the weather... weather effects."

Ive not played Prologue yet, but ive been a fan of GT since the first one. Weather Effects would be absolutely awesome.

My G25 is on the way and my Couch Wheel stand is almost done.

My wife thinks im crazy too.

PM me a link man, I can finish 3rd if I banzi the last few corners before the S' and the pit entrance.

Every video I saw, you have to catch thes SL55 at the Karucel (sp?) and the 190Evo at the start of the back straight, if you don't you want catch the SL before pit entrance.

I only try a few times a day maybe once a month or twice a month, I can't sit here for hours doing it because that stupid 2:30 wait and I always seem to make a mistake someplace....

Shape -

I am only being half serious I know the schedule and I will get it before
the people that paper filed anyway at the last minute... June 13th, oh well I was last to the party basically with GT4 and a PS2, so no worries.

I can always defer a car payment -

Can you play together if you had two PS3s on a LAN?

No it isn't, but seriously if you don't like the graphics in GTP, I have to say you don't like cars and this game isn't for you.

I can spend hours just browsing through the dealership. I know guys that buy the game just for the dealership and 1 player test driving, ie no racing.

I'm not sure about that but it does have 2 player split screen.
okay, now i'm hearing that the online play is all jacked up. cars popping in and out, lag, etc. this just went back to a rental unless they sort this stuff out. after all, there's no way the single player is going to be deep enough to warrant shelling out 40 bucks. 60 percent of the money for not even 10 percent of a game isn't a good deal anyway.

Are you speaking for yourself or in general?

Regardless of his intention, he was speaking for himself.

I've been playing online since December & have rarely had connection problems, & that's playing the Japanese version from the states!

Would be nice to setup two driving chairs with two PS3s and GT5 Prologue. Its more expensive with PCs.

I'd like weather changes too, that would really make it challenging!
I'd also like to race into the night, having it 2 O'clock in the afternoon every race all race long just isn't right!

If PD can get full damage and weather/time of day into the GT5 engine with the pro physics and even more refined graphics they will have destroyed the game industry with their programming skills. That would be a huge, huge task.

So I am thinking of getting a G25 and setting it up for GT5P, but I need a way to, of course, mount it. I do not want to build a frame out of wood from Home Depot because, well, for the same reasons as people's wives complain about it: I just don't want that in my apartment (if I had a dedicated basement or something that would be a different story). I am also not going to get a full cockpit because that is only slightly less ridiculous in the apt. Anyone know of my options? That WheelStandPro seems to be what I want, its unintrusive, easily foldable, etc., but the price is insane!

$1 garage sale chair, cut off the back, remove the seat & mount wheel.
Hides away in a closet so the GF doesn't give me grief!

I've been poking around the internet the past few days and some other options include:

1. A card table
2. An ironing board
3. A table mate
4. A carpenter's saw horse

With options like that, I'll probably do it - I need an ironing board anyway lol.
I bought a $25 card table from Walmart. It's foldable and is the hard plastic top so it's relatively sturdy. Works well for the G25. I wouldn't use a flimsy one.

Are the steering wheel settings adjustable in GT5:P? Specifically center deadzone, F1 is unplayable for me because there's a relatively large deadzone in the center that I can't figure out how to get rid of.

I was only playing the JP demo, and it didn't feel like there was a deadzone. If you didn't have the wheel exactly straight, you'll start to drift off left or right.

I converted an extra microwave stand. It works quite nice for the g25. Just needed a drill, screws, hand saw and a little extra scrap wood.

I bought a stand at Home Depot. I think it is made by Rigid and it has a tilting top and fold out legs. It's made to support a long board or pipe being cut on like a table saw. Some people bought them and posted pictures when GT4 came out and I bought one then. I think it was like $25.

Don't know if they are still available or not but it works very well, looks good and folds up.

New city course for GT5 confirmed

Today, at the Spanish premiere of GT5 Prologue (pics below), Yamauchi commented that they're working on a city course based in Madrid for the final game.

Will a short dinner-tray work with the G25, or is that too flimsy? I'm not sure how hard the FF rocks what the unit is attached to.

I'm thinking a garden variety dinner tray (TV tray) will be far too flimsy. The height would probably suck too, but maybe if it's a wooden one you can cut off the ends of the legs to shorten?

I was actually considering one of those "as seen on tv" tablemate things. They are height adjustable, if you could figure a way to rigid mount the pedals to it might work real well.

I got ready for Prologue just recently. I've been playing Dirt on this setup right now and can't wait for GT.

I can say that the G25 is a great piece of hardware and fits perfectly to the Playseats Evolution. A little bit of cleanup on the wiring and...

Yeah, I mentioned in the post that the tray is already short. I currently use two of them pushed together for my kb+mouse so I can use my PC on my 60" HDTV from the couch.

The trays are wooden and relatively thick, but I still wasn't sure if that would suffice for the G25. From your link, I'd say my trays come closest to this one, except ther is no bar preventing the legs to go under it, and my trays are about 40% shorter.

Thanks guys. I have an extremely tolerant wife and I appreciate her.

I used a coffee table before and driving started to get a bit uncomfortable at around the hour mark due to being hunched over.

Definitely plan out the position of how you would like to mount the wheel, shifter and pedals for your wheel as much as possible with whatever set up you go with....it will pay off.

Also remember that the G25 has steel inserts on the bottom of each part that allow it to be mounted with machine bolts if you are going to make something custom for it.

How much did you pay for that setup including chair, mounting brackets, wheel, etc?
