How would it be "inferior"?

You have had them both in your house?

Level matched to within .1dB? ON ALL CHANNELS? With a comparator switch for 7 speakers and one line level for the sub connections in and out...?

THX Select2 is better then THX Ultra2? I mean if the amps in the pioneer were up to Ultra2 specs surely they would have gone with Ultra2 certification, yes? Because it probably has the dsp chips to carry out the Ultra2 processing.

Oh I get it, everything that costs less is of cheaper standards in every way? Must be where you are coming from, cause in my studio I only buy SSL consoles, because there is no way something cheaper can give me better vocal recordings. Sure, spend more if ya want, but you don't need to...., really up to you and Arad.

I have a VSX-94TXH and it has what appears to be a software upgrade problem. It has developed having audio drop-outs during BD playback.
This only occurs on discs that have been released since October. I first noticed this problem during playback of Jurassic Park, then the Lion King, and then other subsequent newer releases. Older releases like Avatar & X-men First Class play perfectly and it does not happen on anything but newer blu-rays (cable is fine etc.)
I have an Oppo 93 & 83 and it doesn't matter which player is plugged into the unit I get these occasional random glitches. Also, I have a VSX-92 and it does not appear to have the same issue.
Any thoughts or experiences?
