Macbook pro need DAC

Thread Starter
So I have a macbook pro as a source right now and I think it needs a DAC, however I want this DAC to be able to support not only my AD700 and my speakers. Since my speakers have a built in amp I can't go with my original plan and get an amp for both the speakers and headphones. My price rang is about $150 and can be used for both my speakers and headphones. Is that possible? Is the Zero DAC or the EMU 4040 the right direction to look? The Apooge Duet is too much $$$

Background: poor college student
Needs: Stand alone DAC no amp
Budget: $150
Headphones and speakers: ATH AD700 and Swans M10(with built in amp)
Music: vocal and piano, nothing really roof-blowing
Future: Little Dot amp and AGK K701( bot subject to change but give you all a general direction where I want to go with this setup..)

I think you may enjoy the forums at head-fi and get some ideas on how to proceed.

Also, if you are good at using a soldering iron and are familiar with SMDs, check out Alien DAC and save yourself a shiite load of money while having fun.

(no offense but I'm betting NOT)
