Why don't they make a processor like this?

I have a Denon 3805 that works great, but, ot course lacks the advanced audii codecs. Why could they not make an external processor add-on to go with a receiver that could connect to the external inputs, thus allowing me to keep my receiver?

What you're describing sounds like a pre/pro, of which there are many..

Duh. Why not just get a player that has multichannel outputs? What's the point in having an extra box?
