I think, if you actually go back and read this thread (or simply search it for terms like "24p", "48Hz", etc.) you'll find PLENTY of discussion about this set's performance when paired with Blu-Ray and the issues related to both refresh rates. But since the question is being asked yet again, here's my 2 cents yet again:
Yes, there's noticeable flicker in 48Hz mode, but so what? You don't really need it. We've all been watching 24 frame source material converted to 60Hz for our entire lives.
This set is gorgeous, second only to the Kuros, in my opinion. Pretty much everyone who's come over to watch a BluRay or HD-DVD movie on it has started quizzing me on where I got it & how much I paid. Then they've had this look come over their face, as if they were thinking, "hmmm, maybe if I put off that new lawn mower 'til next year and...."
