Harmony and Pronto remotes?

I have a Harmony remote that currently does a decent job for the money. The only thing I don't like is the response time of the remote compared to the original remotes (laggy) I have played with all the settings but its not quite 100%. Im not too fussed about macro's/extra commands that I know the Pronto has over the Harmony. I guess my question is, does this just happen with the Harmony range of remotes and how they learn/transmit codes or would something like the Philips Pronto or any other brand have a better response transmitting IR commands then the Harmony? ...just wondering if a diff remote brand will fix the laggy remote commands

Yep have tried quite abit including the sticky thanks I've read reviews and from what I'v read the Harmony remotes tend to be like this abit in response time? I just wonder if its Harmony remotes or would get the same result with a Pronto remote?

I would say that my pronto's, harmony (the one made for xbox360, etc) , and original remotes all have the same response time on my stuff, which is mostly all Sony equipment. At least it's so close I can't really 'feel' any difference. I would think that by shrinking the various delay settings you could probably get the programmables faster than the original remotes but you may loose realiablity.

I haven't seen a single device where the Harmony remote was slower than the original remote. Can you post what devices you are having issues with and what settings you currently have?

When people say that their Harmony is slow they are not saying that a specific command to a single device is any slower then the original remote's command. Rather, the "issue" (if there is one) is in sending a sequence of commands generally to different devices seems to be slow.

I'll have to double check my settings but I have tried all different combos. What I mean is that when I use my original remote for a device eg. satelitte, AV receiver it works instantly as normal. With the Harmony there is either a slight delay/reponse not quite 100% compared to the original remote...

If you post your equipment and settings, other owners will be able to post what has worked for them.
