Many thanks to all of the folks who got this ball rollin'. I'll be placing a call to Onkyo.
Simply wishful thinking. At 51:26 in "Flight of the Phoenix" did indeed drop the bomb on me.
I'll be flashing (not like that js) my 705 next weekend. I've got some settings, etc. to get written down before hand. I would like to thank all the posters here who have contributed their time and effort to the cause.
Although I haven't updated the DSP's on my 705 yet I would also like to thank...
and I'm sure a few others that escape my failing memory right now for the pioneering efforts with the Onk line.
The plan is to take the optical out of the 360 (Opt1) and connect it to the BD30, do a little reassignment work in the 705 and give it a shot. I'm a little concerned about the writing/burning part of the process. I used Nero to make an Audio CD.
Would any of the folks who have already successfully upgraded their 7/8/905 mind passing along the disc that was used? It's probably fine, just wanted to take one part out of the equation.
Take care to all, thanks again for all of the info.
