Might be pretty hard to convince them to let you mess around with the remote to make sure the player setting is bitstreamed and what not to replicate it.
They would get suspicious pretty quickly if you had to do anything other than hit PLAY
Also you would still have to "SKIP" to the specific scene with the issue and we are also trying to see if the SKIP/JUMP is part of the problem as well, so that defeats the purpose. Really would have to listen from the beginning all the way thru without skipping to test both ways.
Also why wouldnt they also think it was a disc issue and not a receiver issue if they didnt know any better and didnt have any inside info
I was thinking perhaps contacting the local Onkyo service centers (there are many here in CA near me) that might be able to try this out in their shop and report back to Onkyo? Just wonder if they would have the BR player equipment available to test though

I bet if a Best Buy, Circuit City, or higher end audio/video place were to hear this in their store only on certain receivers I bet they'd be making phone calls fairly quickly. Of course with their weight behind the feedback/complaints there would be a resolution quicker
