I am giving up on CRT PJs for now, and really FPTV in general, mainly because PITA to setup and I'm in an apartment : even though it would be awesome, I couldn't play Guitar Hero or DDR or some Wii games because I'd be standing in the light path.
I drained the glycol from both sets' cracked tubes as soon as they were discovered cracked, so as not to damage any components beneath them:
I've got a NEC GP3000 with cracked tubes, but the power supply should still be good, if anyone needs one. It worked when I picked it up and originally intended to replace the tubes, but then found them too hard to get a hold of to be worth the cost. The rest of the unit is probably useless to most folks, considering it's age and limitations.
I've also got a NEC PG9000, it cracked 2 tubes (Red+Green) while I was trying to un-retard the physical geometry of the set (shoulda bled them), I got newish ones, bled them but never got them installed because the HV leads were too short, and I haven't gotten around to splicing the longer ones on (gave up on trying to take them off and swap them). At this point, might need to be re-bled, been close to a year maybe since I bled them and it hasn't been powered up? The PJ is still half apart, the two tubes I was replacing aren't in it and the power supply and input board are pulled out, but those last two are easily installed and the tubes can be bolted in without being fully connected for the purposes of transport.
I also have part of the CRT projector ceiling mount, I don't have the bolts/etc hardware but I have the two hooks that bolt to the PJ and the mount that goes on the ceiling/whatever that they hook onto.
Last thing I've got is a CRT to ISS control cable... maybe 25 feet? I don't remember. It's not in an easy to reach location at the moment.
Not going to give up my ISS, not with my Moome card still rockin' the HD (current 'TV' being a 19" CRT monitor).
I've got pretty much all this just laying around in my apartment taking up space and going to waste. Is anyone interested in this stuff? What do ya'll think this stuff's worth? I could try to at least splice the HV leads on the PG9 and get the tubes installed and the magnetics guesstimated but I really don't want to spend the time to finish setting it all back up again. Also don't want to try shipping either of the PJ's.
