Using a slight variation of the HTB plans. I have built the everything from scratch using 1 4'X8' 3/4" Birch plywood and 1 4'X8' 3/4" Particle board. The cabinet will be slightly longer, the candy area a bit smaller so that I can fit a fridge in the bottom facing the front. I will paste more pics as I progress and I can detail the plans when finished if anyone is interested.

All I need is the popcorn machine, fridge, and candy. Popcorn machine is on it's way! The colors I chose are to match the room decor (black and gold). I hope you like.

The mirror and glass came in - I finished the build last night and here are the pics. I will write ups some plans and post ... it may take a little bit of time though.

Do you think these would sell?

Looking at the concession stand:

Bottom left - small 1.6 - 1.7 cu ft. fridge
Right side - mirror with glass shelves for candy. On the top there is a opening with a glass window to look down at the candy from above.
Top will hold the popcorn machine.


I will post pics once I have everything installed - hoping by this weekend.

The lighting in the candy area is rope lighting. Bright enough to light up the candy, but not extremely bright, but I would turn off during a movie. I have them plugged into a surge protector that I can turn on/off with a switch.

This is in the theater. I have a bump out area in the theater ( to the left of the screen if you are looking at the screen) that this sits perfectly in.



This was built from a hybrid of plans I have seen. If you look earlier in this thread, there are a couple plans posted. I will eventually post the plans when I write them up.

The measurements at the widest point (the top) are 37 1/2" wide X 24 1/4" deep X 36" tall.

The edges where the glass sits are routed so that the depth is exactly the thickness of the glass. A small amount of clear glue specifically for glass is applied to the routed edge of the wood and the glass is set in place. I used a small amount of paintable caulk on the outside edge where the glass meets the wood so that there is no gap (so that salt, oil, etc cannot get in-between). I painted it the same color as the top.
