HG10 Compatible Batteries From Sterlingtek.com?

I have a Canon HG10 and am looking to purchase some additional batteries. After doing some research I noticed that Sterlingtek.com was recommended site. I am looking at the following:

NB-2LH
http://sterlingtek.com/canbeqba80.html

Upon calling Sterlingtek they stated that this battery is not compatible with the HG10. At 1700 mAh for $10.99 this seems to be a great deal. They directed me to the BP-2L14 at:

http://www.sterlingtek.com/cocabpba.html

At 1900 mAh for $32.99 there is quite a price difference between the two. The rep from serlingtek stated that they use the same charger but the NB-2LH is made for digital cameras, while the BP-2L14 is for camcorders.

Anyone have any experience with these batteries? Does the NB-2LH work with the HG10?

Thanks, Nic

I bought a LIC2L12 Lenmar battery for the HV20 while ago at thomas distributing for $22. I believe it's the same battery as the HG10. I'm pretty happy with it and works well. Here's the link:

PS I have a couple NB-2LH for my digital camera's but never tried these on my camcorder.

I went to the Canon USA site at:

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/co...delSuppliesAct

The NB-2LH is listed as a compatible battery pack. Guess this answers part of my question. I would still like to know if anyone has any experieces with this Sterlingtek NB-2LH and HG10 combo.

Thanks, Nic

I bought some Lenmar cell phone batteries and they were absolute garbage. The build quality and capacity were terrible. I tried contacting the company via both phone and email and they did not respond. I would never buy Lenmar again. Spend your money elsewhere.

I have not bought from Sterlingtek, but I've seen many positive comments about their batteries.
