My HDMI input is flashing snow?

I just got my new Blackmagic Intensity card and it installed easily with no problems. I am using a DCT5100 with comcast and I currently have the component output connected to an ypbpr to HDMI converter, then it goes to the intensity card input. The problem is that I get flashing snow, on every station, even the broadcast stations! Otherwise, I can see all the channels. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Nevermind, problem solved!!! I opened up the back of my converter box and there was a switch, I do not know what it is for but it solved the problem!
