Nothing wrong with either of the setups you're considering, either one will do well. Have you looked at ascendacoustics.com? They also have great speakers for the $.

I'll definitely agree with you that as big as D/FW is there are not a lot of stores in our area.
The only one I have really cared for so far is Marvin Electronics in FT worth. That is they are tolerable. I've been to Starpower and Home Theatre Store, which are the only other Boutique stores in the Tarrant County area and got nothing but snotty attitude. I really love the B&W product line but I'll buy it elsewhere when I do finally buy some new speakers.

Don't overlook PSB Image or PSB Alpha's. They are both getting lots of awards. If you have significantly more money, then take a look at PSB Synchrony, which just won this years Sound & Vision Editors Choice award.

Speakers are definately subjective to taste so make sure you spend some time listening to different brands. And I do agree that speakers will make the biggest impact on sound quality.

I would also check out the online direct companies like Aperion, Axiom etc. They offer 30 day free in home trials and offer much higher quality products for the price vs what you would see at best buy, circuit city, etc.

I first went with Aperions 532 LR's, 533VAC and 422's but have upgraded to the new 5B's and 5C. Absolutely love my choice. Exceptional quality! I always tell people that if they are in the market for speakers they owe it to themselves to check out Aperions in their home for the free 30 day trial and free shipping both ways. It is an experience i highly recommend! The blu velvet bags are nice

Not sure what you mean when you say B series or wait and pay more money for the C series? Are you thinking of getting three 5B's for the fronts vs 2 5B's and a 5C or are you looking at the old 532 series?
