Panasonic: Picture goes black for 1 second then back on.

So..I've got a new panasonic TH-58PZ700U and at least once a night, I'll be watching a movie and all of the sudden, the picture goes black for one second, then comes back on. The power light never goes out and it doesn't seem like the panel loses power (no click or shut off) It just goes black. Has anyone else had this happen? I can't tell if it's the TV or my directv DVR.

Do you get any messages on the TV about the picture resetting?

No messages.......the entire screen just goes black and the sound stops. Then they both come back on. The power light stays on while this happens.

maybe a temporary signal loss, what is your source? I have seen sets do this in the store and in our house.

It's a Directv DVR. I'v got another set hooked up so I'm watching them side by side. The next time it happens, I'll no for sure if it's the DVR or the panny.

One thing I find strange if it is in fact my DVR.....If I go back and view the recording, the blackout is not captured in the recording which leads me to believe it's the TV.

Have the 50pz85u and I have seen this twice, both times on a Frontline episode recorded on DVR.

Given that I watched the tournament all weekend and did not see this, and havent seen it while watching a DVD, I have assumed it was the DVR recording.
