Will this section be closed once HD-DVDs are no longer offered in stores?

I wouldn't mind seeing the "NEW OFFICIAL - Special buys, Discounts and deals thread. All Deals Go here!" thread stick around at least until amazon is no longer offering HD-DVDs. The 5 HD-DVD deal thread is also still useful for people who have several months of waiting left.

Some of the recent posts indicate that they will be closed after the HD-DVDS leave the stores. Will the whole section close then also?

There are web sites/threads dedicated to everything under the moon. Why would this one be singled out for extermination?
Sounds a little close to some sort of bluefile cleansing agenda.

I own a Oldsmobile, DTivo, Ultimate TV DVR, and Replay DVR all of them are no longer being sold in stores. Yet all have forums the DVRs have them here at AVS.

So I think there will still be a need to discuss HD DVD even after they disappear from stores. Make sense?

I would hope these forums stay. It's either that, or we post our discussions and troubleshooting in the BD and HDTV Software forums, essentially flooding them and p*ssing off 'fanboys'. LD discussion takes place in the DVD forum, so perhaps HD DVD would be discussed in the BD forum after all?

AVS would/will probably close this forum if and when people stop posting in it. If it is of interest to their customers and brings business to advertisers on the site, why would they close it?

I would say no, as long as thiers atleast a few posts a day it will stay open. Their are a few sections on this form that don't see posts for days somtimmes yet they're still here.
