Who knows what the importers (like mono) use. Actually, I wouldn't even trust them if they said it was oxy-free anyway. I wouldn't trust the Circuit City product either. Either way, you will not hear a difference. Use the least expensive cable you can find from a reputable manufacturer and you will be fine.
You are getting too technical with the 99.97% O2 Free...Don't confuse the OP any further. All O2 Free cable will say 99.997% or similar; don't know any 100% free, but it was obvious what the OP wanted.
And, I agree with using the least expensive cable 12 Ga., preferably USA Made you can find. I don't know if you have a local electronics shop nearby that caters to schools, church, choirs, bands, car audio, etc. Maybe a local music store. At my local mom & pop music/electronics store I buy 12 Ga. 2 Wire (12/2) Made in the USA cable for $0.30/ft. Went up, as 4 months ago was $0.25/ft. They also carry Made in China for $0.15/ft. Don't know the brand, but when I get home will check.
