Hi guys, I am looking to purchase my newest tv. I am selling my old one (Hitachi 51f710) and lookig to replace it with the (Samsung FP-T5084).
The main reson for this switch is Blue Ray through my htpc.
After a visit to local big box store I am having second thoughts. Awhile back my parents purchased the LG 42" lcd, (I hate it) due to wavey logos and score bars. I was aiming at plasma, but after watching espnhd I dont understand why the picture looks wavey (dont know how else to explain it) back and forth waves that take away from the picture. My rptv looks soft and smooth.
Will I be able to make 1080i/720p network type stuff look better then what I am seeing with my parents lcd and this plasma, or is the rptv just look better with this type of programing?
